The Markey Cancer Center is seeking three talented Oncology Data Specialists to join the growing UK Tumor Registry team, which supports UK's and Markey's mission by providing timely and compiled information to clinicians and other personnel in support of educational and legal requirements.
Markey Oncology Data Specialists complete abstracting and case finding, including abstracting data from the medical record charts, and completing abstracting codes using SEER, Solid Tumor Rules, STORE, EOD and AJCC staging rules.
These positions have a fully remote work arrangement. Current ODS certification is strongly preferred, or ODS certification is required within three years of hire. Successful candidates will have a Bachelor's degree with two years of related experience in abstracting and case finding in the cancer field.
