2024 Solid Tumor Rules Update (released December 2023)
The Solid Tumor Rules have been updated for 2024 based on 5th Ed WHO Classification of Tumors books, College of American Pathologist Cancer Protocols, and review of questions and feedback from registrars. Recommendations from Cancer PathCHART expert pathologist review have also been incorporated into this update. Minor updates include new terminology, additional definitions, notes, and examples. The 2024 Solid Tumor Updates include major updates which are based on date of diagnosis requiring addition of notes and new rules for select site modules.
The 2024 Solid Tumor Manual includes changes that apply to cases diagnosed January 1, 2024, and after. The editors strongly recommend reviewing the change log to understand what changes were made. Changes which are based on diagnosis date have been noted in the updated modules.
