The XML User Dictionary clearinghouse is scheduled for an update to make it consistent with the format of the Edits Metafile clearinghouse. The v23 XML user dictionaries will be available through Friday, September 8th. Starting on Monday, September 11th the XML User Dictionary clearinghouse will be down with no access to the v23 user dictionaries. The new XML User Dictionary clearinghouse will be released on Monday, September 18th for registries to post their v24 user dictionaries.
Note: the v23 user dictionaries will not be available starting on Monday, September 11th.
Reminder: Central registries with locally defined data items are expected to create and provide v24 XML user dictionaries to vendors by October 1, 2023 to help vendors prepare customized files and software applications and reduce the chance of delay for deployment of NAACCR v24 software. NAACCR has established a User Dictionary Clearinghouse to share user dictionaries. All central registries are encouraged to review this website: www.naaccr.org/xml-user-dictionary
Please note:
- New XML user dictionary clearinghouse will be released on September 18th.
- If you are not creating a user dictionary for v24 we recommend posting a document stating that.
- The Clearinghouse will only post the most recent files uploaded by each registry and uploaded files do not appear immediately.
- A new Data Dictionary Details Template is available at www.naaccr.org/xml-user-dictionary
- V24 User Dictionaries should be posted following the XML v1.7 Standard. Some XML attributes were retired in this version. Please check your new user dictionary for "trim" or "padding" attributes; if you have them, refer to "Notice of Attribute Retirement" in the XML v1.7 Standard
Registries can request help with NAACCR XML or review of their user dictionary on the NAACCR XML Forum.
Thanks
