"The CanREValue Collaboration: Experience generating real-world evidence using real-world data from across Canada"

The Canadian Real-world Evidence for Value in Cancer (CanREValue) Collaboration was established in 2017 to develop a framework for the generation and use of real-world evidence (RWE) of cancer drugs to inform drug funding decisions. This presentation will describe a demonstration project exploring the capacity to generate RWE in nine Canadian provinces, using data from cancer registries, hospital and emergency department records, and insurance claims, to provide direct, generalizable evidence on cancer drug effectiveness, safety, and cost-effectiveness.

The lifetime probability of developing and dying from cancer in Canada has been used as a measure of the general cancer experience among Canadians. This talk will present the most up-to-date estimates on lifetime probability of developing cancer up and lifetime probability of dying of cancer for Canadians.
