Dear NAACCR Family,
It is with a heavy heart that I convey the news that Frances passed away early yesterday evening following her struggle with cancer. Her husband Ed shared the following, "Frances was touched by your all's encouraging visits, letters , cards and texts – you might say even a little surprised and gleeful. Remember her mettle and her smile."
We knew this day would come, but it does not diminish our profound sense of loss and sadness. As you know, Frances was a key force behind the establishment and success of the Kentucky Cancer Registry. We can honor her legacy by continuing to support the very highest standards and commitment to quality in our registry work.
The NAACCR community has been especially kind and generous to Frances and her family. The Scholarship Fund far exceeded anyone's expectations and the outpouring of concern, love, prayers and encouragement has been impactful to Frances, Ed and Hannah (their daughter) and all of us at KCR. We appreciate you so much.
