I am happy to announce that April Austin has been promoted to Director of the New York State Cancer Registry.
April earned her Masters of Science in Epidemiology from SUNY Albany and Bachelors in Clinical Medical Technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology. She joined the NYS Cancer Registry in 2008 and she successfully designed, implemented and managed our Physician-based Reporting program. Additionally, April has been responsible for many data analysis projects and research-related activities. During her tenure, April has also been active with various NAACCR workgroups and activities. She currently co-chairs the Minimum Data Set Task Force and recently served as chair of the Nominating Committee.
