NAACCR XML Standard updated to v1.7

     Greetings from the NAACCR XML Workgroup!

     

    The XML Data Exchange Standard v1.7 is available on the NAACCR website at: www.naaccr.org/xml-data-exchange-standard

     

    The NAACCR Data Exchange Standard, XML Specifications for Cancer Registry Records has been updated to version 1.7 (May 2023). Changes since version 1.6 include:

    • Padding attribute: The "leftBlank", "rightBlank" and "rightZero" values were retired. The allowed values for that attribute are now "leftZero" and "none" with the default value being "none"
    • Trim attribute was retired
    • If your user-defined dictionaries use these attributes, refer to the Standard for suggestions
