The Program Manager I (NYSCR), will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Registry operations including the supervision of multiple staff. Duties include: development of policies and procedures to enhance Registry productivity and efficiency; oversight of processing of cancer data submitted by hospitals, radiation treatment centers, ambulatory surgery centers, laboratories, and physicians; monitoring of cancer reporting to ensure submission of complete, accurate, and timely data; development of procedures for the implementation of cancer reporting from new sources; identifying facility training needs and overseeing the training material development for the various regional training workshops that the Registry conducts; communicating with reporting facilities regarding reporting requirements and changes in the cancer registration field; leading and participating in the development, customization, and maintenance of internal software programs (e.g., Facility Cancer Reporting Application, CERTS , etc.) and facility reporting software products (Abstract Plus and SEER*Abs). The incumbent will also serve on various, related committees and workgroups with partners and stakeholders, such as North American Association of Central Cancer Registries; the American College of Surgeons' Commission; Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results; National Health Institute; etc., and develop materials and presentations for assigned meetings and conferences.
