Responsibilities: Epidemiologist - The selected candidate will serve as one of the Epidemiologists for the Massachusetts Cancer Registry (MCR), providing all data-related support to the MCR. The incumbent will assist with all MCR requests for cancer incidence data from MDPH personnel, external researchers, and general public. The selected candidate will assist with the preparation of annual reports, abstracts, presentations, and special reports. Perform basic data analysis on data from the MCR, vital statistics, and national cancer data using data query systems. Assist in the review of research projects using MCR data for the IRB. Evaluate, interpret, and disseminate cancer statistics, (incidence, mortality, and screening) as well as general cancer information (such as cancer risk factors, socio determinants of health, resources for further information etc.). Participate in quality assurance of data and prepare standard surveillance and special reports. Participate in the review of all reports, presentations, and publications produced by the MCR.
