Responsibilities: The Assistant Operations Manager is responsible for managing specified operations for the Massachusetts Cancer Registry (MCR) within the Office of Population Health. The Assistant Operations Manager is responsible for monitoring progress on specific cancer registry operations such as data acquisition, death clearance, non-hospital reporting, and special projects. This position oversees the design and development of tracking tools to monitor the status of the above-listed operations activities to ensure that the MCR meets the required standards as set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention/National Program of Cancer Registries (CDC/NPCR) Co-operative Agreement and the National Cancer Institute/Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (NCI/SEER) contract. This position will develop quality improvement plans for specified MCR operations activities as well as implement and monitor the plans to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of MCR operations.
