    Dear cancer control colleagues,

As a training and technical assistance provider of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Comprehensive Cancer Control Program, the American Cancer Society is proud to present a webinar entitled, "Advocacy vs Lobbying: What's the Difference?".

Cancer coalitions strive to develop data-driven, evidence-based policy agendas that are feasible based on local political context and cultural preferences. Yet sometimes partners within a coalition are hesitant to fully participate in advocacy. Join us on December 12th (3:00pm-4:00pm EST) to hear from two leading experts who will discuss the difference between advocacy and lobbying; how to identify and utilize effective messaging strategies; and identifying data sources that can support advocacy efforts in cancer control.

We have attached ready-to-go graphics and materials for you to share on social media, newsletters and in other communications with your cancer coalition partners. You can also cut/paste the email content provided below.

Together, we can make a meaningful impact in the fight against cancer.

    Warm regards,

    Katie Bathje
