Please register for the second session in CDC/CSTE's new Cancer in the Environment Virtual Workshop Series for jurisdictions working on unusual cancer patterns and environmental concerns. The first session, which was held on October 27, 2025 and the recording can now be found in the CSTE Webinar Library.
The second session in the series will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, from 1:00–2:30 pm EST. This session will focus on geospatial methods for examining unusual patterns of cancer in investigations. The first hour will include a presentation by ATSDR's Geospatial Research, Analysis, and Services Program (GRASP) team on methods for analyzing spatial clusters and a presentation from staff from the New York State Department of Health about their experience presenting small area data for cancer and current procedures for addressing community cancer concerns The last 30 minutes of the session will be for jurisdiction staff to interact and share information on their work in this area.
We encourage all staff working on unusual patterns of cancer to attend this workshop series. Feel free to forward to additional staff in your jurisdiction that work on this topic. Future sessions will be announced at a later date. Please use this link to register.
