Epidemiology Manager – closes 9/25/2019. Serves as Manager for the Cancer Epidemiology & Surveillance Branch Epidemiology Group and provides leadership and direction for program staff. Initiates, designs, plans, develops and directs advanced cancer-related epidemiologic studies. Develops guidelines, policies and procedures for the epidemiologic functions and monitors compliance with policies and procedures. Provides overall direction to, and is ultimately responsible for the scientific validity of cancer-related epidemiologic investigations studies. Assures the epidemiologic integrity of the cancer incidence surveillance system for Texas. Develops research oriented grant requests. Takes the lead in research that contributes to the body of scientific knowledge of cancer and publishes cancer epidemiologic study findings.
