Certificates of continuing education are provided to registered attendees based upon completion of the online evaluation. Sessions will be available for online viewing until 5:00 pm PST on May 13, 2022, for registered attendees.

    The theme of the conference is "Innovations in Cancer Data Use". During the virtual conference, attendees will learn about innovations in cancer data use and the variety of research conducted using CCR data.

     

     

     

    Keynote Speakers

     

     

     

    Shobha Srinivasan, PhD

     

    Dr. Srinivasan is a sociologist and the Senior Advisor for Health Disparities in the Office of the Director, Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences (DCCPS), National Cancer Institute (NCI). She currently coordinates activities across DCCPS, NCI, the National Institutes of Health, and with other federal and non-governmental agencies to develop programs and initiatives to address health disparities and promote health equity.

     

    Topic: A Health Equity-Conscious Approach to Cancer Control Research

     

    Allison W. Kurian, M.D., M.Sc.

     

    Dr. Kurian's research focuses on the identification of women with elevated breast and gynecologic cancer risk, and on the development and evaluation of novel techniques for early cancer detection and risk reduction. As Director of the Stanford Women's Clinical Cancer Genetics Program, her practice centers on women at high risk of breast and gynecologic cancers. Dr. Kurian earned her M.D. degree at Harvard Medical School, completed residency in Internal Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital, then trained in Medical Oncology and earned her M.Sc. degree in Epidemiology at Stanford University. She has published more than 180 peer-reviewed articles, many in high-impact journals such as JAMA, the Journal of Clinical Oncology and the Journal of the National Cancer Institute.
