The American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) received important feedback from the pathology, registry, and clinical communities regarding the AJCC Cancer Staging System: Cervix Uteri Protocol (Version 9), which was released as an eBook in October 2020. We heard clearly that the Version 9 eBook format is not sufficient, and the information should be made available in print form so this important content will not be blocked by institutional firewalls. We appreciate this feedback and the sharing of possible solutions. We are still evaluating all options for disseminating AJCC content, but we are happy to announce that a paperback version of AJCC Cancer Staging System: Cervix Uteri Protocol (Version 9) is now available for purchase on Amazon for just $9.99.

We also wanted to take this opportunity to make you aware that the AJCC Cancer Staging System: Cervix Uteri Protocol (Version 9) may be available to you through your institution's library. Several leading Information Services vendors have the current AJCC content, and these vendors deliver it as part of the Library Services content within universities and hospitals. These vendors make AJCC Cancer Staging System content, including Version 9, available through online web portals, which makes the information easy to access and search. In most cases, the cost of providing this information is absorbed by the Library Services department and not passed on to employee end users.

Finally, the AJCC understands that many users wish to have AJCC content available in other formats, and we are committed to exploring options that will make content easier to access for users while sustaining the operations needed to maintain the AJCC Cancer Staging System. The AJCC will continue to communicate with the oncology community and reach out to engage users for additional feedback at the appropriate time.

Thank you for your valuable feedback and for the important work you do for cancer care. For questions please contact the AJCC at ajcc@facs.org.
