    Dear Friends,

I will be retiring from State service at the end of this month and starting a new job at the Vermont Program for Quality in Health Care in December.

A lot has changed since 1996, when Ray Vezina dragged me around the freezing blizzard at my first NAACCR meeting in Boston. (We were running NAACCR v.4!)

Over the years, I have continued to learn something new every day. The mission-oriented work we have done together at NAACCR has been extremely rewarding.

If you need anything cancer registry chief-related while my position is vacant, please contact Jessie Hammond, Public Health Statistics Chief, at

I miss you already. It has been a pleasure and an honor working with you.

    Take care,
