    The Cancer Registry of Greater California's mission is to capture timely, high quality data from all cancer patients diagnosed in 48 of California's 58 counties, and to utilize this information for cancer research to improve health outcomes and reduce cancer morbidity and mortality.  To accomplish this goal, the Cancer Registry of Greater California (CRGC), a SEER registry and a program of the Public Health Institute (PHI), is recruiting for one full time (100% FTE) based in Sacramento, California; however, working remotely will be considered. 

     

    The CRGC is seeking to hire a Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) for a Quality Control Specialist I (QCS I) position for our Abstracting Team.

     

    The Quality Control Specialist I on the Abstracting Team performs regional core abstracting for surgery centers, treatment centers, Medical Doctor Only (MDO), Death Certificate Only (DCO), and Pathology Only (PO) cases. The QCSI also assists in other core regional activities such as, electronic pathology report screening and classifying, death clearance activities, regional quality control activities, and participates in SEER reliability studies.
