    NCRA is hiring for a Cancer Registry Edits Coordinator.  This FT; permanent and remote position will have some US travel in the future. Candidates must be a CTR with a minimum of 7 years' experience in a cancer registry.

    Position Description:

    Experienced CTR with data management and programming experience who has a high level of comfort with and knowledge of various cancer registry edits activities, to support NPCR Edits efforts.  Strong ability to perform edit testing functions and provide direct support to NPCR awardees in the area of edit related technical assistance.

    Responsibilities and Activities include:

    Support current and future NPCR metafiles, including evaluating edit needs; writing, updating, and testing edits; and responding to user queries about edit logic.

    Provide user support and training to central registries on use of edits software including EditWriter, GenEdits Plus, and XML Exchange Plus.

    Provide user training and/or assistance in specific edits activities such as maintaining data dictionaries and customizing metafiles.

    Provide system support on edits software products to NPCR, including identifying enhancements, testing revisions, and developing and maintaining help documentation.

    Provide general CTR subject matter expertise to NPCR workgroups when needed.

    Provide edits subject matter expertise for NPCR, including participation on NAACCR Edits workgroup, participation on NPCR's Education Team.

     

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

    Certified Tumor Registrar with a minimum of 7 years of experience in a cancer registry

    Ability to work in a remote capacity

    Demonstrated expertise in various Cancer Registry topics.

    Experience in various registry settings desired

    Hands on experience working with edit tools with the ability to write edits

    Strong programming aptitude

    Strong knowledge of NPCR requirements and ability to discern the proper selection of edits

    Strong skill level in documentation development and ability to write standard operating procedures.

    Excellent communications and organizational skills.
